Being Content: Finding Purpose in Your Pain

I normally don’t get this deep about my personal life online, but it’s time to have a real talk. Lately, nothing has gone as planned or worked out the way I imagined it, and it’s really forced me to rely a lot more on my faith. First, Scooby had a cancer scare that has costed us thousands of dollars for his treatment. Then, my grandmother, who is in daily debilitating pain from a pinched nerve in her spine, was told by her doctor that there was nothing that could be done to help her condition. (We’ve since then found several surgeons who have agreed to help, but it’s been a…

The Best GAL-entine’s Day Ideas For You & Your Girl Gang

Valentine’s Day does’t have to be the worst holiday ever when you have your GIRL GANG to spend it with! Isabella and I live together at MC, so we’re literally always by each other’s sides, but sometimes it’s nice to do something special and outside-the-box, especially when it’s a group of our friends together. I’m dating someone, but she isn’t right now, and I’m sure your friend group is a good mixture of single and obnoxiously unsingle as well. Valentine’s Day Style Guide

Valentine’s Day is one of my favorite holidays. I know it’s not for everyone, but I love the mushy feeling of love everywhere. Even if you don’t love Valentine’s Day, it’s an excuse to dress over-the-top feminine which is the best part IMO. Whether you like basic color schemes,  wild patterns, clean lines, or a mix, I’ve tried to put together a style guide for V-Day that has something for everyone.

    Cozumel, Mexico

Our Hits and Misses of Booking Excursions Outside of Our Cruise-Line This past December we booked a last-minute cruise with Royal Carribean that turned out to be one of the funnest trips I’ve ever been on. Even though Cozumel is a fairly popular place for most people, the things we did there were more off-the-beaten-path. Since we booked so late, there weren’t any great excursions left to book when we looked online, so we got creative with activities. (We later found out AFTER Cozumel that you can go to the front desk on the ship and find more excursions that are even better than the ones offered online, but it…

My New Year’s Resolution: Go Greener

This year my pledge is to make MINOR changes that can have a MAJOR impact, in all aspects of life. Normally, I never make New Year’s resolutions, but this year I felt really convicted about one thing: how my actions have been effecting the planet. I’m not talking about crazy, radical changes that require a complete 360 in lifestyle, but simply being more intentional and thoughtful about the things I do on a daily basis and choosing better options. I understand that the world’s problems won’t necessarily be solved just by my small changes, but if I can help ,even a little bit, and impact someone else along the…
